"A lovely cheese pizza, just for me."
Who's your Spiderman? If you answered Tobey Maguire, then Joe's Pizza needs no introduction, because you saw it in Spiderman 2. Even if Tobey Maguire isn't your Spiderman, this place probably needs no introduction. Just like their box says, Joe's Pizza is an institution.
Joe's is my go-to for a New York slice (you can but the whole pie or by the slice at the counter). I'm not saying it's the best slice of New York pizza I've ever had, I'm saying it's my go-to. It's open late, it's convenient, and I don't have to spend a fortune there to be happy. You don't have to take my word for it, because this is one of those restaurants that has every square foot of their wall filled with pictures of celebrities and other hot shots that visit the restaurant.
There are three mistakes you could make when you go to Joe's. One: you don't bring cash, Two: you don't try a slice of fresh mozzarella, and Three: you don't eat it right away (this rule is true of any pizza). So, assuming you steer clear of those points, you should love this place. Everyone has their own favorite pizza spot, but nobody denies that Joe's is one of the greats.
