"The Osborne" (Ice cream with Fruity Pebbles, Captain Crunch and Oreos)
You've probably seen someone wearing Kith-branded clothing before and are wondering "what the heck is a clothing store doing selling ice cream?". Honestly, I don't know either, but I'm glad they did.
Most people go to Kith for their stylish clothes and walls upon walls full of trendy sneakers. That or they just like feeling their internal organs shake a bit from the bass-heavy music coming from the loud speakers throughout the store. Most every time I go into a Kith store, I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb, mostly because it's not really my style. Thankfully though, I don't get too many awkward stares, and that's probably because people take one look at me and know I'm only here for the treats.
Treats is a pretty generic name, so here's what it entails: Soft serve ice cream & milkshakes with sweet mix ins (mostly cereals). Simple enough. Which is why I can't really wrap my head around why it's so good. They've got a solid list of pre-built treats (our go-to is the Osborne), or if you don't see any options you're crazy about you can always build your own.
There are lots of great ice cream options in LA and New York (the two cities that have Kith locations that we've visited), but this one might surprise you especially since it's tucked in the corner of a trendy clothing store. If you're out shopping with a friend and need a treat without derailing their shopping addiction, suggest Kith and you can snag some ice cream while they try on shoes. If you're still hungry and want some "real food", just head across the street to top off with Tacos No. 1 (if you're in the NYC location). The booming bass from the store probably helped settle the ice cream to the bottom of your stomach anyways.
