Prince Street Pizza

A pizza that needs no introduction - Prince Street is one of the commonly recommended New York pizza joints; and the line out the door will attest to that.  So, how does it measure up?

The first thing to know is most pizza places have their top slice - the hot honey pie from Rubirosa, the vodka slice from Made in New York, a classic cheese or fresh mozz from Joe's, the list goes on.  But when you go to Prince Street, you go for the pepperoni sicilian square (pictured above). As you can see, this isn't just some boring pepperoni, this is pepperoni so luxurious that you could pinch it between your index finger and thumb and drink the grease like tea from a tea cup. Don't let that discourage you... a slice like this may weigh down a bit more heavily in your stomach than it's thin crust alternatives, but one slice should be just right.. and who ever ate pizza to get healthy anyways?

As far as the thick squares go, this one's at the top of my list.  If you can stop by when there's not a line of everyone and their dog visiting, all the better.  If you want to really up your calorie intake that day, you can top it all off with some 'Brooklyn Blackout' chocolate cake at the Little Cupcake Bakeshop next door.  There's no indoor seating, and only a handful of outdoor seats, so plan to eat it on the go.
