Crispy Artichokes I was surprised that the high end home store had a restaurant too, but I'm glad it exists. Apparently they have quite a few locations in major cities across the US, but in our case we've just tried the RH Rooftop in NYC... I'd imagine their other locations are good too. As the name suggests, you'll find yourself eating on a rooftop. A rooftop in the meatpacking district with a lot of glass, greenery, and good food. It's definitely a cool vibe especially if you go around sunset since this is one of the select New York restaurants that's not sandwiched between two brick walls and sitting under multiple stories. It gives good views of the neighborhood and the RH store itself is worth walking around and potentially dropping $20K on couch. If you're here for the food and not the furniture, I'd say some of our favorite items are the crispy artichokes, broiled salmon, shaved ribeye sandwich, potato puree, and charred broccolini. Salmon Carpaccio. Mmmmmm... 53. So called because it is located at 53 W 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan. It's a relatively new restaurant located right by the Moma. I haven't been to the Moma yet but I'm guessing this place is cooler - partially because I like food more than museums - but also because the restaurant itself makes you feel like your in some sort of fictitious, high-roller hangout (Kenz said she felt like we were in James Bond or something). I know that's not much of a description, so just look it up to see what I mean. My favorite description I've heard is that it looks like it could be Anna Wintour's hangar for her private jet. Ok, onto the food. Pan Asian cuisine is what we're talking about here, and this place puts a fine dining flair on it more than anywhere else I've been. The dishes were all beautiful, and most all of them had the taste to match it. Our favorites by far were the Chicken Truffle Xiao Long Bao and the Salmon Car...

Juliana's Pizza

Pretty sure this is half margherita half white For some reason, the best restaurants happen to (usually) be the hardest reviews to write - this is one of those. Pizza in NYC is a hot debate. Everyone's got their spot where they put a stake in the ground to declare it the best. Well, I say each spot has their own flavor and feel, but however you rank your pizza spots, I'd be surprised if Juliana's Pizza wasn't near the top. On the subject of pizza ratings, I like to think of pizza places in a few different categories: New York style (further broken down into by the slice or whole pies), Neapolitan (think your standard thin, simple Italian pizza), and the 'Sicilian Square' (sometimes I hear Detroit-style when describing the thick squares, but if there's a Sicilian square that is basically the same thing, is there any doubt to what the name should really be?).
